Olympus will not do video oriented camera

That works for me! If I wanted video I would go Panasonic.

Bravo Olympus! I wish Canon would leave the video for its video cameras, and not bother dSLRs with video features, saving the extra buttons for still image oriented tasks and also simplifying the menu system.

If they did that the level of activity in the "canon is doomed " thread would probably be impossible to keep up with

I don’t mind having a few video features on my Canon/Oly bodies so I don’t have to carry two separate cameras on trips, but video is far from my primary use for the camera.

The E-M1 Mk II actually has pretty great video features for the casual enthusiast user like me. I could care less about flat profiles and all of those high end features, I just want a good auto mode and the ability to tweak it a little. It’s really nice shooting with a body that’s clearly dedicated to being a stills camera and isn’t trying to do everything.
