Hi all,

Here are some small but very spectacular little mushrooms that I photographed yesterday evening. They are Mycena chlorophos, and they glow a beautiful green colour which is very obvious to the naked eye.

Images taken with my Tamron 90mm macro.

Hope you enjoy them!

Very nice. I am an amateur mycologist, or rather enjoy identifying mushrooms for food and fun. In fact, this is what got me into photography again.

We do not have this species in the United States. Those who claim to also glow I have found but have never been able to capture them in their luminescent state. Great find!

Thanks very much! They are a fairly rare species here, so its always great when you get to see them (and even better if you have the camera with you:-)).

Cheers,
Stephen
