I've been looking for several days and can't find a free shutter count program that works for the 5D IV...anyone know of a free program? Windows or Mac, either will work!

This is a feature that is locked out in recent Canon DSLR's. AFAIK, no way to determine without sending the camera to Canon. There have been a few posts about this, not sure if Magic lantern will tell you shutter count.

Thanks for your help. That's the only one I've been able to find too. I was hoping to find a free source, I just need it for one use, so I was hoping there might be something else out there.

$3200 for a 5DIV body and you can't part with $4 for the software utility?

Shutter Count is also on iOS (so if you have an iPhone or iPad). For Windows there’s EOSmg (have read it’s $5). DSLR Controller has had Shuttercount for android (not sure if it still has that feature).

Yes, EOSmsg works on Windows PC but costs about $5.00 USD. It is a Chinese website so the language and translations are a little "clunky", but it does work.
