Just wanted to confirm and it does. The Godox BP-960 and USB adapter powers provides the power needed to have the latest Sony cameras accept external battery via the USB. You DO have to have the main battery in the camera for this to work. As soon as you pull out the battery the camera dies. But this should be a good option for those of you who still shoot the 360 lineup or have the BP-960 battery pack.

I was just putting my last 360ttl together to take photos to sell and came across the USB adapter that I've never used. Now I'm thinking of keeping the battery pack perhaps. Using a clamp like THIS (external link) have it mounted on the tripod and usb into the camera you have 4500mah rating of external supply. Would allow someone doing an all day video rig some use.

Apparently it doesn't charge the internal battery... just provides an external power supply bypass. The battery icon switches to a plug in to the right of the percentage.

oh... the display doesn't turn off after the set time when it's using external battery. The camera sleeps after 1 minute but with this plugged in it doesn't turn off.

Yes... the canon godox trigger works with mechanical shutter in manual mode. I shoot studio manually so looks like I could use this trigger but need to get the sony and sell this canon one.
