I picked up a Pixma Pro100 because it was cheaper to buy a brand new one off of Craigslist than to buy a pack of replacement ink for my Pro9000. This was over 2 years ago, I think. The Pro9000 takes up a lot of space... What do you guys do with an unwanted printer? My guess it's probably not worth trying to sell it on Craigslist... I don't want to just put it in the trash or landfill.

Advice?

I figured this is the best place to post, because it's the right audience. My apologies if a mod deems this topic inappropriate for this forum.

Put it in CL for $25 OBO. Somebody might even want it for parts.

Mine was hopelessly clogged. I almost bought a new print head for it but was then asked to join a gallery so needed a pigment printer anyway.
Took the 9000 to a re-cycle center, but they said we don't accept printers anymore and I should take it to the dump so I did.

Sad but they are disposable. All printers are.

Junk it.

Between the two of us we certainly have disposed of many new PRO 100 printers less a few key components.

Looks like Staples will take old printers for free. I don't mind giving it to them and let them figure out what to do with it.
