These shots were extremely tough to process because of the harsh, evening light & long shadows, any help is welcome!

The female Powerful owl has another mate, third in 4 days! This one is super relaxed, closed his eyes with me 5 metres away at most.
He's on the left. Whichever male ends up feeding the chicks, odds are they won't be his.

The second owl tree in the nature center behind my house is quite active as the eggs have now hatched, so a lot of mouths to feed. This was a dark, rainy morning last weekend

Oh to have a nature center behind your house sounds really cool! I am jealous!

It's a two-edged sword, LOL! I work out of my home, so you can imagine the temptation, especially this time of year. I'm out by one of the owl trees before sunrise & have to force myself to be at my desk working by 8, then I'm out again at about 5:30. The tree in this picture is literally 30 seconds from my house, but to get access for a shot of the nesting hole, it's about a 7-minute walk.

I had about 30 minutes to spare this morning before I needed to start working, so I went out with my camera and nabbed this shot, plus several others. I love the spring and what my wife calls "Owl Season"
