Looking for T2i or comparable kit for my granddaughter

I have been away for a few months with a new job and helping my wife with her business so haven't posted in a while and haven't even picked up my cameras since late December . My 15 year old granddaughter asked me to help her find a camera within her budget. As a Canon owner, myself, I am encouraging her to consider a good T2i kit. I realize that it is an older camera and perhaps more difficult to come by but she was looking at an even older XTi that would have maxed out her budget of 350.00.

If you were in the US I would recommend heading to a local pawn shop as older models are often available at a decent price.

Thanks for the suggestion. Not really an option for us right now though.
