Latest MC-11 Firmware

I just updated the firmware in my MC-11 adaptor. The good news is that eye-AF seems to work with more lenses across more of the frame. These two example shots (from today, nothing exciting but daughter #2 was playing at State Solo&Ensemble competition) show that eye-AF works at normal extended regimes of the frame.

The downside is, about 1/3 of the shots I took of this rather static scene (A7R3, MC-11, Canon EF 70-200/2.8 IS II) were OOF.

Interesting. Mine comes in a few days so I'll get to play with the MC-11 but I already sold my 200L so no long glass.

I can say this though the AF is not as "rock solid" as people make it out to be. It WILL miss slightly from time to time but it's only an issue when pixel peeping or cropping. It seems sony has a "margin of error" built into the AF system or at least it's my take.

70-200 2.8 G is a pretty good lens. Still taking tons of photos for now though. I think in two weeks I've done over 2500 photos with the A7R3.
