1st Promotion for A7iii?

Based on past trends for the Alpha series, what is the likelihood that Sony will have promotions (especially cash rebates, not bundles) on new camera models within 3 months of launch?

Interested to know..

Due to the interest in this camera, there would be no need for a sale on this for months. Once demand dwindles, then these types of promotions become likely. I suspect the first time a promo happens would be around thanksgiving/end of Nov.

Those aren't Sony promotions, just ways for online retailers to sell at a reduced profit, but certainly worth looking into. There will always be ways to get the A7III at below list price, if that was the intent behind the original question, although not large discounts (<10%). Usually manufacturer promotions are 10% or higher, but I don't see those happening until demand flatlines.

It was a good suggestion though, if they are looking for an 8% discount now.

anyone had issues with GT so far? I made full payment to the vendor on 7 Apr, and subsequently asked some questions on the packaging/shipping, but both GT and the vendor did not reply me at all for 4 days already. how long should i wait before seeking refund through paypal?

I haven't really pushed the whole camera system swap yet. Still own alot of stuff.. everything works great. My mind has easily swapped over to Sony and now I'm clunky on the 5D4.
