On Friday 3/16, i ordered Leica M10 with Adorama. I asked for Sat delivery but was told they don't have that option. It's fine. I was able to move our models/make up artist to next week. UPS 2 days air it is. They suppose to ship out the same day on Friday so that it will get to California on Tues 3/20. I moved out shooting date to Tues. They didn't ship it out unitl Monday. That will make the package will arrive on Wed. I called and the resolution is place new order and they will do next day air, which mean it will make here today (Tues 3/20). Ok, i've been a loyal customer of Adorama, no problem. Placed brand new order. Got the email the ordered completed. Guess what, woke up this morning, check on the UPS, it said schedule change. No status. The package STILL NOT LEFT the warehouse as i'm typing this.

So now, i'm out of $14,000 on my cc charge. $350 fee for the make up artist since nothing going to happen today.

First order #: 20614455
Second order: 20626527

*** UPDATE****
UPS now showed it is in the delivery truck.

I'll let you work out the shipping issues but seriously, you order a camera for a shoot planing it to be delivered on the day of the shoot? Seems very risky especially in the winter where the N.E. has been hammered with these storms. Wouldn't a better plan be to have the new equipment delivered a week or two before it's needed?

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

it's unfortunate, but it happens. Can you buy local?

Only 1 company I would trust with such an urgent delivery.... amazon.

Um... use a different camera? No way a shoot isn't going to happen, that I have planned, because I don't have one piece of equipment.

I totally get being upset with Adorama if they didn't deliver as promised, but to hang a whole shoot on them? That just isn't professional.

Professionals have backups, and make it happen.. no matter what.

So make it happen.

Godox/Flashpoint r2 system, plus some canon stuff.

I don't see how this is Adorama, or any business's fault.

Looks like a really bad plan to me in the first place.

And frankly, if not having a camera like the M10 at the shoot breaks the shoot, then I guess it was a specific shoot to promote the M10, because there's no way you cancel a shoot over one camera. Not even in the realm of professionalism.

But, I'm not trying to be ugly or rude, we obviously don't know all the details.

We do know however that it's not Adorama's fault that this plan was put in place, there's zero guarantee on delivery. Ever.

But hey, now you have to praise Adorama for making it work, despite you calling them screw ups.

Very best,
