Anyone compared these two. I currently own the Art. But for a whole wedding day its f... heavy. So i think about a downgrade
And suggestions?

I've read an off-hand comment from one member a few months ago stating that the Tamron delivered better sharpness, out of focus blur and focussed better but then I haven't seen anything from anyone else to back up that single opinion (which may have been offered that day simply to wind up fans of the Sigma).

Seriously though the 1.4G only has a potential AF benefit over both and a 1.4 vs 1.8 benefit over the Tamron. Both of the latest Sigma and Tamron lenses match or better the Nikon for image quality and rendering
