Sandisk 300mb/s vs 280mb/s vs 160mb/s vs 95mb/s for high speed still shots?

I shoot a lot of high speed (still shots) action and currently use Lexar Professional cards. But, I just read Lexar is no longer making memory cards and a little research seems to put Sandisk at the top for quality.

Which card should will a 7DII and/or 5DSR benefit from with high speed still photographing? I'm not concerned at all with speed transfer rate from memory card to PC, only write speed in camera.

Currently the fastest throughput will be with a UDMA7 CF card such as the Lexar 1066x CF cards. I use these in my 5D4 and the burst rate beats the specs by about 30%. If you use an SD card your burst rate will be less before the buffer fills and the time to clear the buffer will be much higher.

From the title, I am guessing OP is asking about SD cards. I don't know CF goes to 280MB/s or 300MB/s. For SD card, you don't need those fast UHS-II cards because 5D4 has an UHS-I interface only, which has bandwidth of 104MB/s only. Anything faster, you are wasting your money.

The 160MB/s is probably the current UDMA7 CF. Generally, CF interface is a bit more efficient, but it also take more power. If you really need the ultimate buffer clearing speed, then those 160MB/s CF card is the way to go.
