Is it just because I didn't have have much light on her lower body? I used a 45" umbrella.

How far was she from the backdrop? Was she so close that purple tinted light reflected from the backdrop to her body?

A common sin of hobbyists trying 'portraiture' is putting subjects too close to the backdrop, exacerbating the issue of 'contamination' bounce.

Less severe, but still present?
