Big milestone challenge here. Number 500. So let's have a healthy showing. Looking for low light images with no flash. Available light only. Regular lights are fine, as long as they're not used specifically to light the scene for the shot. In other words, no light stands.

The challenge begins when posted, and will end on Friday, April 20, 2018 at midnight CDT. The winner will be announced shortly thereafter. (Or more likely, the next morning.)

CHALLENGE RULES:
1. Camera: Any DIGITAL CAMERA is allowed, (not just DSLR)
2. Time: Any on-topic photo taken at any time is eligible, although photos that have won other competitions should NOT be entered.
3. Size: See standard P.O.T.N. Image Posting Rules.
4. Post Processing: Do whatever you like and the host will decide if it works.
5. Posting: ONE PHOTO per photographer in each challenge.
6. Details: Show camera model & lens used. Post brief EXIF data including ISO, shutter speed and aperture used.
7. Commenting: Please, NO COMMENTING DURING CHALLENGE feel free to comment in this thread after a winner is declared.
8. Content: Keep it clean, and both Family and Work safe.
9. Have questions? PM me.
10. Have FUN!

* THE WINNER ALWAYS SETS THE THEME FOR THE NEXT CHALLENGE, POSTS IT AND JUDGES IT - BE PREPARED! A new challenge should be posted ASAP after you have been declared the winner.

Skegness Peir "Super Moon" weekend 27/09/15

A very powerful moon perigee (362,455 Km) rising above the North Sea wind energy farm, and flanked by the Skegness pier. The pier is a well loved seaside coastal land mark, dating back to circ. 1881, however the energy farm is more recent, but both are now a permanent vista for holiday makers and visitors alike

Hmm, so much for big participation in the 500th. Although the 3 we got are all stellar.

1. Shuttershare - Nicely done. You got detail in the moon and in the foreground. Was that an HDR shot? Or pseudo-HDR?

2. OldCrow - You had perhaps the harder task as I know from experience how difficult it is to capture the moon shining through clouds without blowing a big white hole in the clouds. You managed to avoid that and still nail the exposure on the church. Nice work.

3. texkam - Great sunset shot. Would have made a good entry in the previous contest about silhouettes.

I'll go in that order. All yours, Shuttershare. I hope participation picks up for the next contest.
