Remember Sunday nights?

Mutual of Omaha Wild Kingdom
Walt Disney
The Ed Sullivan Show
Bonanza
Red Skelton

Remember 10:30 on Saturday night? Chiller Thriller. Dad hosted Bingo at the community centre. My mom and I made Chef Boyardee pizza and watched it. Got to stay up late that day. Mom loved horror movies.

Yes I do remember watching all of those in my much younger years!!! All GREAT shows!!!

Yup, I remember those. But on Sunday nights I couldn't stay up too late, because of school in the morning.

My other tv favorites were Combat, Voyage to the bottom of the sea, and the Man from Uncle.

When you see my camera gear you'll think I'm a pro.
When you see my photos you'll know that I'm not.

I remember the opening bars of Bonanza's theme music (it was instrumental, not a song). It's one of the very few I can play in my head.

Oh yeah. I forgot about Combat. Loved the sub coming out of the ocean in Voyage. Do you see the movie with Armie H and Henry C? I liked it. I loved part where the torturer gets burnt in the chair.

Another few classics. Sea Hunt and Mission Impossible.

If you can spare 10 minutes, a hilarious segment of What's My Line? (external link) from 1953.

LOL. That guy ticked off because everyone laughed. A flip pad for the cash. Wow $25. Lot of money back then. We can't even go to a movie for that.

The writers of today have zero imagination, leaving us with 'reality TV' shows like Bachelor, Bachelorette, Fixer Upper, Beverly Hills Housewives, Dancing with the Stars Juniors...ad infinite boredom

Not even matinees? Senior discount?

The format of those old game shows seems primitive now, no flashing lights, no electronic displays, but the panelists were insightful and witty.
