I am really loving that composition.

For me, it's just as much about the ducks as it is the Moose ........ their placement and arrangement is quite fortuitous, and they provide wonderful, dynamic supporting elements to the composition.

The overall composition works very nicely, with the dark band of vegetation across the bottom of the frame and then again across the top of the frame.

What's especially nice is the fact that the very brightest part of the image is immediately surrounding the Moose.

Do you remember what species of ducks were there in that group?

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

Way to make a great use of a less than ideal lighting situation, Terry! Great photo, IMO. As Tom said, very nice composition and going full silhouette was a grand plan.

Thanks for the nice comments Tom. I believe most of the ducks were widgeons, pintails, and a few shovelers.

Thanks Eric. I knew the light here wasn"t going to be very conducive to a traditional photo. My hope was to be able to make something out of it. With this photo opportunity, one just had to take a few pics. Thanks for your comments.ߘ
