Hey guys!
I am looking for a set of backdrop, grey or black. Where do you get backdrops nowadays? I know it is not too trendy nowadays... Recommendations?

Seamless paper? If you want to put gelled light on the backdrop for a pop of color, that is an advantage of black seamless. If you don't plan to do that, I would skip black and just get grey. Put no light on it and grey is black.

If you don't have a local camera store which carries them, B+H is a good source. Amazon, Adorama...many other options. They have paper, canvas, muslin, pop-ups, stands, poles...so many choices. There is also Denny, if that's what you are after.

Now, if you are looking for custom painted, you often get those direct from the makers....

As for how "trendy" they are, that depends on what you are doing with them. I consider backdrops useful and certain ways of using them are pretty on trend.

C&C always welcomed...
On my images, of course, and on my words as well--as long as it's constructive :).

Portable or fixed, full length portraits or not? For portable, and not requiring full length, there's reversible black / grey ones from Lastolite and probably others. Either prop them against a wall or use the official holder on top of a light stand. I've used a grey one for corporate headshots so it has to be tansportable...
