Just as my title says... I had a bad file on a 2 year old 32gig SD card in my GH3. All other files copied over properly.

Would you just toss the card? Or are there ways for me to test it? I'm not interested in leaving to chance and happening again. :)

Thanks;

if youve confirmed the file was corrupted on the card initially and not in the transfer process to the pc then I'd bin it.

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

what type of Sandisk card? If it is the blue or ultra, I would just not use them anymore. For Extreme, they have life time warranty, you can consider replacing them

Oh it is an Extreme card. Maybe I'll send it in, thanks!

Joeseph; I have tried to transfer a couple times.. and I've tried to play (vid) direct from card and it fails each time.

See https://www.sandisk.com …ty/warranty-united-states (external link) before you send it in. In my case, several years ago and for a CF Card, when I called them they just asked for the product code and then sent me a new card.

K. Since I have formatted it since the problem, they suggest I see if it happens again and then they'll replace it.

(nevermind that I can't really have ANY corrupted files when I'm working, but anyway...)
