Wow, poor Nik Software, they just cant seem to catch a break. First Google buys them and just let's the software languish. Then DXO buys them and they are headed down the tubes.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.

I tried NIK with the free download from Google and all it did was crash PS.

Nik's U Point masking technology is so effective, that it's worth getting a better host :-) that will be able to run Nik plugins (e.g. PhotoLine).

The alternative is running each Nik module as standalone.

I'll give it another try.

Works for me okay though some modules run slowly. I downloaded my copy about a year ago when did you download yours?

I downloaded from Google about a year ago and all the modules work fine for me. Nothing is lightning fast but nothing is especially slow.

The other day. I did a search online and some suggested font issues and a few other things. I have not gotten around to trying again.

In LR all it does is create a TIFF file. It does not open in Dfine.

The newer version of PS and LR are not supported. May never be.

Supported and working are two different things. I too am a long time NIC user. I bought it when they were still NIK. I have it loaded running the latest version of PSCC and all tools work well. Dfine2 is version 2.2.21.12.

I also purchased NIK define when I had my Canon 50D as it was great with banding. Over the years I stopped using 3rd party plugins and I deleted it somewhere along the way. Oh well. I guess I won't be able to test it.

Well they released this and it was on sale so I purchased it. If they fold, they fold.
