Teddy Roosevelt's House

This was taken, literally - out of the car window. It's more a "postcard shot" than artistic, but figured I'd post it for your amusement. It's Teddy Roosevelt's house in Oyster Bay, Long Island New York. The second shot is the museum in the rear of the property. I couldn't take a more direct-on picture as there was an ugly utility vehicle parked out front. I did take out a small fire hydrant in the middle of the weeds.

I like the perspective of Teddy's house, the museum doesn't appeal to me. I've been to many presidents' houses, but never this one. It's a shame, for he stands out to me as the kind of leader we should have. Good shot.

Thanks! I would agree, Stan. It's not really my thing, but it's local and a nice little getaway - I usually only go there when visitors from Germany or elsewhere are in town. He's definitely one of our more interesting leaders and there's quite a bit of history to be had in visiting the site.

The first one is cool "snap shot". Funny thing, some shots right out of the window turn out pretty good. You put your camera on a pod and the shot does not turn out like you thought. Good job!

Question... Do these photos look good on your monitors? As far as dark/light and sharpness? I'm not 100% convinced yet about my Dell 2405FPW display and my monitor at work is lame at best.
