Arriving in Banff May 17th. I have a map of the park and the good places to go take photos. Is there any hidden Gems/secret places I should go visit. It's just my 17 year old daughter and I. We both do photography.

I am bringing my Canon 7D, 35mm f1.4L, 70-200 f4L and a Hoya CPL filter. extra batteries, flash, etc.

Go to https://www.inafarawayland.com …pots-banff-national-park/ (external link). On the Vermillion Lake that is mentioned, if you can get there around sunrise you are in for excellent shots. The downside is sunrise is about 6 AM.

Daytime temps by the way are typically just short of 60 deg F.

How's it going so far, Anita?

Seeing any wildlife to shoot, or is it primarily best for scenic opportunities?

.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

Thanks John for the link and tip of arriving early for Vermillion Lake :-)

Hiking along the lake trail away from The Mound at Lake Moraine leads you to some great photo ops

If it fits in the schedule, consider the Calgary Stampede. It is July 5th to the 14th. Lots during the day, but don’t miss the evening entertainment which can include chuckwagon races and stage performances. Sometimes you have to go two nights to see it all. You used to able to take a free train in the city so parking isn’t a concern.
