I just tested the Godox AD600B (original firmware v2.2) with my Godox X1T-S transmittor (without camera for the moment) and it works.
I have 3 questions :1> I don't understand is that in the menu you can choose only transmitter "Canon" or "Nikon", no Sony, seems confusing ?
2> Setting up my Godox Godox V860II-S as a slave for the AD600B for hairlight won't be a problem I hope (not tested yet).
3> I saw a video of Tony & Chelsea on Youtube that the firmware upgrades are a pita

Are there any important upgrades since V2.2 ?
Next month I have my Sony A7 III hopefully

1. I don't understand either, but it doesn't affect anything. Probably just that Godox originally rolled out Canon and Nikon versions, and added Sony later but didn't bother to change the menu. Doesn't affect operation.
2. Can't say - don't have one, but my understanding is it should be fine.
3. Haven't seen that video, but I upgraded mine upon receipt and didn't have any issue. You plug the cable in the strobe, the other end into your computer and run the program. I don't get what's hard about that. I haven't checked for recent upgrades, so I don't know the answer to your question.
