It always surprises me of how little the general world know about Embraer aircraft.

Most airline passengers can't tell an ERJ from a CRJ.

It was on route to one of the USAF/R.A.F. bases across to the east of R.A.F. Brize Norton on a Sunday afternoon when I was on shift on the first line. It did an emergency landing with us. The problem was it was blowing 12 stage compressor air, VERY hot, into the boundary layer air system on the wings and had failed to switch of. It was in danger of doing enough damage to the wing to make it fail. There was no work for me so I wandered over to ask what was happening? My ambition for a good while is to grow old disgracefully. So far my wife tells me that I am doing really well!
