I’m officially in too. Still employed in aircraft maintenance and flying spanner. Only job I know and when everything around is looking bleak working on airplanes trouble shooting a defect makes me forget the rest of the world. Oh and I’m addicted to the smell of burnt kerosene.

I pulled back the curtains to this drifting by my window this morning.

Business picking up at last. All three ME3 properly aligned on an airway over Iraq, including A380 of Emirates and B787 of Etihad with us, heavy B777 sitting at the bottom of the pile.

We had to polish the Comet 2s like that in the early 60s when I was stationed at R.A.F. Lyneham. We stopped when somebody noticed that the rivet heads seemed to be getting smaller

The 40,000' cruise altitude was smartly reduced to 32,000'. They were a lovely aircraft to fly in.
