The Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-21 (NATO code name "Fishbed") is a Soviet supersonic multirole fighter in service from the early 1960s to the present. It has been used by the air forces of more than 30 countries and is still in service in several of them. More than 10,000 of them were produced, making it the largest and longest-produced supersonic aircraft. Series production began in 1959 and ended in 1985, it has been upgraded over the years, there have been 3 generations of this aircraft. It was also produced under license in Czechoslovakia.
