Hey there, I just gut a Viltrox EF-NEX IV adapter but it doesn't work on my A7II. I attached it with a Canon 35mm f/2 IS and a 135mm f/2L but the AF doesn't work, and the aperture shows '--', like if the lens wasn't attached.

Did anyone have this problem with this adapter? I already updated/downgraded it's firmware but it still doesn't work.

Thanks!

Yes, I did. I contacted Viltrox and they told me that it may be a problem with the connect pin -?. Did you have the same problem as me?

As an update, this is what happens with these lenses:

Canon 135mm f/2L - It works nice for ~2 seconds after I turn on the camera. Then it shows the '--' as aperture and it stops auto focusing.
Sigma 24-35mm f/2 - Same as the 135mm f/2L
Canon 18-55mm (not the IS, one of the oldest) - it works perfect! :-P

Maybe it works better with EF-S lenses, but I don't have any other EF-S lens.

Another update:

I tried it with another A7II and it worked perfectly. It seems to be a problem with my camera :(. Any ideas? I'll try to downgrade and upgrade again it's firmware.

out of curiosity how much did it cost?

I just got a Sony A6000 and mostly shoot with EF-S lenses on my Canon(low budget family photog), I'm trying to figure out if I should spend money on an adapter or just sell/trade the A6000 for another canon body.

Bodies: Sony A6000, T3i and Xti(needs repairs, but use in manual)
Lenes: Sony 16-50(kit), Canon 50 F1.8, Sigma 24-70 F2.8-4, Canon 70-210 F4, Canon 55-250 IS, Canon 75-300, and Canon 18-55(auto focus is broken so I use it on the Xti)

I don't remember exactly, but it costed me around $120-$145. It works perfect on the A6000. The AF is very fast and it doesn't make the lens hunt. I didn't try it for video, but it seems to work good for video too. Just note that the adapter must be set on "CDAF".

Also, don't get the Sigma MC-11 for EF-S lenses. They won't fit unless you remove/break a piece of plastic.

As an update, I bought a new EF-NEX IV adapter and mounted it in an A6300. At first it didn't work so well, but after I upgraded it's software to the 1.7 version it started to work perfectly. The AF is very fast in photo and it does have AF for video shooting. I tried this lenses:
Sigma 24-35mm f/2 ART
Canon 40mm f/2.8 STM
Canon 135mm f/2 L
Sigma 50mm f/2.8 EX DG Macro (this lens didn't work with the MC-11).

If someone wants a video test just let me know.
