Bears and volcano

Augustine volcano is visible from several places in the McNeil River State Game Sanctuary so it is a great place to get bears and volcanos in the same shot.

I came looking for a thread just on bruins. I'm old maybe I didn't see.
If it is here maybe a mod can delete this thread and shoot me a link.

If not how about a thread just for bears?

You're too kind.
I've only ever printed one bruin shot. All images I've printed are owls. I did print this one in metal
and it was above Poof's desk when she worked in the bank-

I was riding my mountain bike earlier this week to do some trail clearing in northern Maine. There was a lot of bear sign along the old logging road and I was hoping for a chance to see one. Just a few minutes into my ride and I spotted one foraging along the shoulder ahead, wind in my face. I laid the bike down and dug my camera out of the daypack and managed a few shots. At one point he re-emerged from the woods unseen by me, and I ended up much closer to him than I would have liked. The wind must have swirled as he changed from foraging unaware of my presence to full on flight mode back into the woods in a split second. On my return to camp, he was still working his way down the road and soon caught wind of me and ran off again, but allowed another couple of shots.
