Must have been an incredible experience. I have tried finding them, without success, while traveling through BC, so I know it is a rare sighting.

We came across this mother black bear and her three cubs in Yellowstone, up by the Roosevelt Lodge road. She had just taken down a fawn when we arrived. I got a ton of pictures, but this one shows them seriously into it.

Thanks for the kind comment, Richard. I've got quite a few shots of that pair. Sat and watched them for a couple of hours in variable weather with broken clouds blowing through and the occasional snow flurry. I've got another one that I'll post when I can access it on my main machine. We just moved our household and I've been confined to laptop use for a few weeks pending getting things unpacked and set up in new digs.

A beautiful and fascinating collection.
What a trip that must have been.
The top one is really nice with them ambling into the photo, but the third is quite whimsical.
Almost human like as it scratches its chin wondering who it's going to eat next!

Thanks for posting those.
