So I've been shooting with the X-t2 with the ver. 4.0. I only had to reset the camera once by removing the battery grip. Couldn't imagine shooting a paid event if that happened. Still no evidence why my video stopped either.

Both sd slot 1 and 2 had the identical errors when shooting video but NOT stills.

Back to the 4.01 firmware that rolls back to the original firmware.

I never had any issues whatsoever before the 4.0 firmware. I'll have to say the 56mm with ver 4.0 was a nasty beast in rattle snake AF especially in low light. The older firmwares were much more refined.

I have zero clue what that means.....is that a good thing or a bad thing?

I don't shoot video and I haven't seen any issues pop up since I updated to 4.00 so for now Im not going to revert back with 4.01.

I'm still hanging on to the 4.00 upgrade. No issues yet, but am staying vigilant.

The Fuji 56mm isn't that bad but it does acquire AF quite aggressive now. You'll notice even in 4.01 that the focus motor rapidly moves forward and backwards just before locking in lower light. This is prevalent in the 56mm but even my 16mm you can see the focus giggle back and forth. Regardless the AF works.

My old Micro 4/3 panasonic / Lieca 25mm prime lens was very aggressive in AF. That lens was known for Rattle snake sounds as it rapidly tried to lock af. Fuji is not nearly as bad but the much slower AF algorithm in the past old fuji bodies were much more postive in AF motor movement without going back and forth before locking.

My X-t2 really has been rock solid and I've never had to remove the battery grip. I'm feeling better that I have 4.01 installed on the camera now.

Good to see Fuji is reactive in the feedback they are getting with the 4.00 update.

I've changed back. I couldn't think of any reason not to. My thanks to Fuji for handling the problem quickly.

Don't have any reason to rollback. I have been on 4.0 since release and have not been experiencing any of the reported issues. I consider myself lucky. I do have the 4.01 FW on a SD card in my bag in case I'm in middle of a shoot and troubles arise. Can't afford issues while shooting on a job.
