Nisi absolutely comes up a ton more in social media as I see all these "ambassadors" promoting it as they seem to be resellers. Recently I decided to actually take a look though, and the v5 pro seems interesting indeed.

The idea of the "internal CPL" looks very interesting on paper, though of course I have no idea in practice.

The only other standout item I've noticed is that apart from the included step-up rings, the "holder adapter" actually screws on, making it difficult (time consuming) to switch between lenses.

Lastly it seems the nisi system has a smaller footprint, which is of course nice!

I haven't really seen too much of a comparison between the v5 pro and LEE. Anyone have some experience between the two? Has anyone made the switch to the v5 Pro? It seems all the glass is interchangeable, which means the switch could be just the holder or more of a gradual switch...

Go to https://www.bhphotovideo.com …_v5_pro_100mm_filter.html (external link) and explore the content in the "Reviews" and "Q&A" section. Some of it may address your concerns.

The system, with CPL, was on sale here a few weeks back for US$120, marked down from $180.

I've been using the Lee Foundation for years but purchased the NiSi when B&H had it on sale. I have only used it a few times. Yes, it is a little more time consuming to setup than the Lee. I don't find that to be a problem as I usually don't need to switch between lenses quickly.

I liked the way the CPL was integrated. The CPL does not seem as strong as the square Lee one I have. The effect is just less noticeable. The NiSi seems to hold the Lee filters very well. While light weight, it seems well made.

I'm keeping both for now since I have two bodies and enough filters, I can shoot an LE and time lapse at the same time.
