A couple of these images could have been better technically, but I thought that I would still share the peril that some of the chipmunks in our yard endure.
My spouse & I feed birds and critters, and we have many cats in the neighborhood that visit us.
This black cat Diana, is the gentlest and most lovable cat to humans that we ever have met, but she is also a fierce hunter.

I wrote in the "Post your cat pictures here (2)" thread of this forum, how it is telling that I first grab a camera when anything happens, then come to my senses.

On Flickr, I state the following:

"This is not the reason we feed so many critters around here! My neighbor's cat Diana, giving a chipmunk a real hard time.
At times, the chipmunk was gripped in Diana's mouth and I was chasing the two of them to try to stop it.
I was able to break up this fight, and the chipmunk was able to run away."
