May 24, 2018 11:32 | #1 Going to Namibia in July and trying to figure out what camera to take. I usually use a Canon 7D with either 70-300 or 18-135 USM lens. Considering something a bit lighter/smaller without the need to take multiple lenses. Any thoughts or recommendations from those of you out there that are currently using Panasonic gear?

Got fed up with bulk and nuisance of changing lenses so sold my 60D and bought the FZ-1000. It's now my main carry-around and I couldn't be happier with it. Best camera I have ever owned. Options, button layout and ease of use way ahead of Canon, plus having 25-400 covers most situations.

I have not handled one, are they smaller/lighter than a Canon Rebel?
