Congrats on your first golf shoot. Welcome to the club.

One of the things I find with golf is that only one or two frames in a swing look good/great, while in the rest the golfer looks contorted and uncomfortable. I think your first image suffers from this. He looks as if he is bent over with his chin pressed against his shoulder looking down at the ground, which doesn't look comfortable.

The second one looks much better as he is more relaxed. Though, if you have LR/ACR I would use an adjustment brush to add just a touch of fill light to his face. You do need to be subtle and not overdo it but it can really help the viewer connect with the player if they see the face a little more clearly.

Thanks for the advice. The first shot is cropped quite a bit and the player was hitting out of tall grass, so he was uncomfortable but made a great shot. I learned a lot by shooting over the better part of four days. Being just a hobbyist I don't use LR but I get and understand your comment about lightening up the face a bit.

Looks really good, though I admit Im Golf ignorant. Do I see a lot of CA in the club of the first photo??
