Exactly. I did the production and prepress work on aerial yardage guides that tied into the real estate developers of the clubs.
The level of perfection that was expected of every shot of every hole was incredible. No divot marks were allowed to remain. No dry or brown grass, had to be cleaned up.
No clumps of leaves, even on the fringes. Cart paths had to be clear. If a trap wasn't raked, I had to smooth it. Not to mention, all the greens had to match shot to shot depending on tee, fairway, rough or green. Over the course of a day, the turf grows a miniscule amount which affects its color and shading. Oh, and if the trees surrounding the greens or lining fairways cast dark shadows that obscured the course, the shadows had to be removed.
