Beer and guns? And Canon only on third place... It explains why OP doesn't know what eye focus was made by Canon well before Sony started to make their cameras.
But typo was educative!

My first SLR was a 50e...

And I bet the mode select dial popped off it. Canon has been responsible for some awful tat in its time!

I've used Canon gear since 1976.

Don't see a reason to switch it up now...

Just shut up and smile...

I thought about the D500 about a year ago. In the last month I had the opportunity to switch brands and went with the 400 DO II. I guess be around for while.

I been with Canon since 1995. Die hard canon shooter. I'm still with canon. However here we go. Bought a sony a6000, it was nice. Then. Bought a a7riii, almost 99% of photos are sharp. I like sharp photos. Colors I perform a custom white balance and colors are good. I don't depend on technology, new sony bodies a7iii, a7riii and a9 have left canon sitting in the porch.

I'm not a sony fanboy either. I still own all my canon gear. But like i said it before my canon takes stunning images but sony just makes it that much easier to acquire a sharp photo without chimping
