Now for the winners......it really was a toss up between the beach shots but I will choose...

1st Place: Martin

3rd Place: OhLook

Jim, that must have been quite a storm.....yikes!

Maureen, many thanks for pushing me up to the top of the class :-)

Technical details of my photo are: 3 hand-held bracketed sets, tonemapped with SNS-HDR and then stitched with Microsoft ICE. Quite a number of technical problems as the people move around while the shots are being taken - and then when you stitch the images you find they are in different places!

This is where my photo was taken:

Thanks to all who helped to make this a proper challenge.

Have a good trip Maureen

Congratulations to Martin, Mark, and OhLook...great photos all. Fun contest Mo...I tried to be within theme but with a different approach for this challenge. :-)

Spring is storm time in my area. The pine tree in my photo was leaning over my neighbor’s house after a particular nasty thunderstorm! The tree removal company used a three story crane to reach over her house to take the tree down in 20 foot lengths.
