Good idea. I wondered when someone would illustrate a low speed.

There's nothing like a close-up to show how dirty the world is.

Great shots, everybody!

I've been playing with slow sync flash photography for this week's theme. Also known as second curtain flash. That was interesting...
I did selfies with the camera on a 10 seconds timer. That was not at all easy. This was my favourite, even though I hate the crop (no good place in my home to take this type of shot)...

Another take. It's probably better because the flash did freeze my face and most of my upper body.

Levina, nice job on both, but I find the second pose more interesting.

Thank you so much, Paul.

As for the pose, it was really really hard to get it half way right. I had the timer on 10 seconds and the camera does indicate when it's about ready to fire by having the red flashing light go flash that much faster, but it was still hit and miss waving the red tulle (I think it's called in English?) because the flash has to hit it in the right way, I couldn't wave too fast or it wouldn't show and then I had to think about myself in that I didn't want to be too visible plus trying to assume a bit of an elegant pose. It was like trying to keep 10 balls in the air!

I have to say that I understand why the second shot appeals more to you, OhLook and Joayne, but I myself prefer the first image because of the colours and because it shows the speed more. I find it a much more vibrant shot. But as I said I do hate the crop and much prefer the framing of the second shot.
