corrupted image, camera problem?

I m using a new canon rebel t6i, shooting large JPEG, on a tripod. I took a few thousand shots the last few days. I notice some of the images are corrupted. One of them is attached below. I was using the same 32gb sd card that i used for my 5d3, that I never had any trouble with. I was shooting fairly slow, about 1 image per second (trying to do a timelapse). I had manual focus, firing using a remote shutter release, picture preview OFF, display OFF, lense stabilization OFF. What could be the problem? Is there a way I can detect this image when I copy it over to my computer (windows)?

If you haven't formatted the card, does this image look the same as posted on the LCD screen on camera? I wouldn't suspect so but it will help you determine if it was in camera or during file transfer to computer.

95% of the time the problem is either the card or the card reader that was used to pull the images. Rarely is the camera to blame for corrupted images.

Its quite possible the images were corrupted during transfer. I was doing 4-5 simultaneous cut and past from the memory card to different folders on my computer. I will continue to monitor.

Could be faulty mainboard. Not sure on this.
