If you’re referring to my photos, thank you. Both were taken through my Tamron 90mm macro. The grasshopper remains caught my eye because it was in a shaft of sunlight surrounded by deep shade. Both are cropped quite a bit.

Yes I am, great shots. You can tell if someone is responding to you by looking in the upper, right hand corner that shows you the post in reference.

Thanks for sharing, I've heard good things about that lens.

Pink grasshopper. Between the setting sunlight and the Poke weed it sure looked pink!

That certainly is an unusual-colored grasshopper.

Interesting bug and photo. Is it a fly? Must be, because I think I see a haltere.

This is Necydalis mellita, a kind of longhorn beetle. Its overall appearance is that of a wasp, and is probably a case of mimicry to ward off predators. Note the very short elytra, a giveaway that it is a beetle. It also has eyes that wrap around the antennas. Burlington, Canada.

I don't know. It was very small. I thought at first one insect was eating a dead one, but seeing it on the Mac, I think it's just one insect. Very weird.
