Here are a couple of interesting finds from a favourite local park. I have been photographing a lot lately, while editing very little. Just adding to my massive backlog of photos :-P

Beautiful images. Fascinating creatures.
Love the details and colours.
Very nice

Those are really nice.

Do they bight?
We have March Flies here and they're worse than mosquito's when they're out and about. Only females bight though.
They're miserable so an so's :p
Google says they're called horse flies in other parts of world.
These look similar but different colour.

They are harmless, they just imitate bees/wasps for their own protection. The horse flies are something else!

Mayfly. I've only seen three this year, and I live close to one of the largest lakes in Oklahoma. First image is cropped quite a bit for eye detail, second photo is as is.

Lady Beetle and a Four-toothed Mason Wasp. The wasp is stinging a caterpillar that is inside the folded up leaf. I got a picture of the wasp with its prize, but sadly, not very clear.

There are fewer and fewer bugs each year, kind of worrying.

Mayflies are interesting subjects. Nicely captured, especially the eyeball closeup.
