Thanks for the comments. You are right. There is even color differentiation in the leg sockets.

Chalcid Wasp (leucospis affinis). Apparentl these guys are parasitic that lay their eggs in the nests of wasps and bees. When the eggs hatch they feed on the host before emerging.

I included two shots, one that shows the ovipositor curled and laying along the back of the female. Pretty mean looking in my opinion.

Not taken a close look at a daddy longlegs before. I must blow the dust off my microscope. Looks like gaiters where the legs join the body, just like on a car, and are those little eyes on top, one can only marvel at 'all creatures great and small':-)
