Is there an AF point that you place on the subject? And then the triangles do their thing? If so, isn't it hard to keep the AF point where it is supposed to be? I had the rear articulated LCD Screen facing me and with this manual focus only lens, the Single AF Point displayed two White Triangles either side of the AF Point.

If you are extra or intra focus, the Apex of each pair of White Triangles points either up or down, so in theory you know which way to turn the focus ring. As you approach focus, the 2 White Triangles begin to converge. When you hit focus, the 2 White Triangles overlay each other and turn into a Single Green Triangle. I was able to "Tap" the rear LCD to place the AF Point in different positions and the Triangles then appear at the new AF point location. Here is a link to a Canon USA Youtube Video that demonstrates this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VroBOF1B6jE At high magnifications you really need to have the insect resting as I found it impossible to chase a moving insect. Cheers Dennis Thanks for the explanation! It sounds very useful. Canon R5 and R7, assorted Canon lenses, Sony RX100, Pentax Spotmatic F
