I prefer to be in the bush with the animals than a crowded city.

The original, multi-chamber Wasps' Nest was destroyed when the fragile twiglet broke off at the knuckle joint, so the resilient guys just started building another, closer to the main stem of the Sacred Bamboo Plant.

Cheers

Wonderful pics, and gives some insight into the interesting lives of these wasps.

We had a cool night last night, so this guy was parked on the window this morning. Made for a nice safe subject behind the glass. The yellow specs are pollen that accumulated overnight. And a fair amount of dust and dirt on the outside of the window.

That is a nice pic of that wasp. Interesting that it knows how to stand on glass which I guess it can't see.

I've always wondered if insects think glass is some kind of invisible force-field, epsecially when you watch a fly spend ten minutes butting its head against the window, trying to get to the source of that delicious smell. :-D

The Wasps nest keeps on growing, several cells added each day.

Cheers

Here is a full res 1024x1024 pixel SOC Crop from the raw file, just to show the apparent size of the Wasp at close to minimum focus.

Cheers
