amazing and beautiful lot of photos preceding.

This is our Dung Beetle, bit off territory, but they fly like the clappers so can end up anywhere.
Hasn't lost a leg, just tucked under. It was on the move!

I have a Marumi 300, Lester. It's fine, as good a piece of glass as a Raynox, but the 'look' that comes out of it is different. I can't explain it....

I have also used the Marumi in conjunction with one or two Raynoxes when I used my little Canon S120 as a macro-rig. IQ is not great, but I enjoyed getting photographs with the set-up. Here's a couple of examples....

Hi,

Hope you don't mind but I just processed the gorgeous DF shot using Topaz Denoise AI in PS CC at the default settings. It really cleaned up that background noise.

Cheers

Dennis

Dennis, you won't believe it but I posted the wrong photo, and not the de-noised copy next it on file. When I realised what I'd done, I tried to replace it but could not due to the forum software! So, thank you so much for replacing it for me, I'm very obliged - and it was a photo that needed it. Those small sensors do crank out the noise at higher ISO's, but there's not a lot you can do about it,,,

Once again the flippy screen and touch-to-place AF point proved very useful in selecting 3 different AF regions in quick succession to allow some manual stacking in PS CC.

The breezes kept the branch oscillating in the FOV, making it difficult to get a perfectly aligned stack.

Taken with Canon (EOS R) + (Extension Tube 12mm) + (1.4x Extender Mk III) + (EF 180mm F3.5 L Macro lens)

Cheers

Dennis

All from last year TBH.

Been so windy plus the lockdown shot hardly anything this year.

But sunny and lighter winds today so will try later, think Sunday is meant to be nice also, (cross-fingers)

We are still emerging from winter here. Minus 12 C this morning and light snow. Of course warmer weather is coming, but I wonder if it will come before stronger lockdown measures! It does not look too promising, but hopefully there will be some opportunities.
