Awesome shot... I believe that's a fourlined plant bug, Poecilocapsus lineatus. They do wicked damage to leaves...

That's what I'd call a stick insect.
We have similar here, but nowhere near as pretty as the bottom one. And haven't seen one for ages.
Beautifully photographed.
