Wasps nest in hole (perhaps an old Rabbit hole), you can see they have mud in their mandibles, presumably to build up and narrow the hole entrance.

I think that for this one, the Canon EOS R6 was in "Zone AF" which displays a "White AF Square" in the middle of the VF. When the AF locked onto the Bee, a smaller "Blue Spot AF" box locked onto the Bee and tracked it across the larger White AF Zone.

I suspect this worked as well as it did because the BG was quite dark and the Bee offered a brighter, closer and more contrasty target so the AF was able to track it within the AF Zone - very neat.:-)
