Thank you, I'm unfortunately used to it. I used it on the tubes for almost a year when the 100mm died the first time.

I put this with the spiders but thought I'd show here. My favorite shot from today & a complete accident. I'll usually cut a small piece of plant or flower that the bug is on & bring back to shoot. I cut a small portion of grass to get a beetle & when I got home found this guy in the grass as well. Yes, he is licking his fingers. All returned back to plant.

Not sure, but this guy looks like a tiny, younger version of the bug with what looks like horns. I think a leaf hopper?

Strange thing, as I was watching through the camera I saw this guy extending & contracting it's back half (thorax?).

Do moths qualify as bugs? Cinnabar moths, I believe.

Adding flash to your macro rig will give you much more versatility.

A new photo of the remains of an aphid, it's body attached to a podium created by a braconid wasp. This tiny parasitic wasp finds a target host and deposits an egg inside it. This egg will be dormant until the host is big enough for the larva to hatch and then the wasp larva feeds on the insides of said host.

This is a test shot for a new diffuser however, but it's still a fascinating subject matter!

A 3D printed one that clips over the flash heads.

Need to find shiny subjects, because it will still have some hotspots to some degree, but I'm hoping it will make the overall light better.

Very attractive moths! Could be a variety of Five-spot Burnet Moth.
