So far, so good. Still working with it + full set of tubes. Yes, manual focus. Happily I shoot Canon & that version allows aperture control from the camera. There is an occasional hiccup (with tubes attached), after firing a shot the lens stays at F/13 (or whatever I have it set to). I trigger the shutter one or two times & it returns to wide open. Seems I need to clean some contacts.

Thank you and yes…I still can’t wrap my head around how well it does. I use the 5d4 at 1000 and thought that was great. The R5 is another level in my opinion.

Yes, it's a great image btw. I watched a video of someone using the Laowa 100mm on the Cannon mirrorless & it was high praise indeed. I've also heard amazing things about your new lens. I'm jealous, enjoy!

I found some caterpillars on a milkweed over at the reservoir & knew they would be cut down again soon. I dug one up, planted it in a large pot at home & covered it with a net to keep out the birds. I now relocate any caterpillars I find on put on this plant.

I found this colorful guy on the plant when I got it home.
