Cool! Thank you, it was big, at least 2 inches if you count the tail.

A few from a (short) walk today. Nice thing about natural light is not needing to wait on flash to recycle.

I believe this is a huntsman(?), we called them daddy long-legs. There was only 2 square inches of shade around & he found it and wasn't giving it up.

Here are a few more from this morning. These are perfect examples of a black background fail. Next one to come out of a chrysalis I'll try a colored background.

I'd normally not "keep" this one but it's not often you get to see the colors and shapes of a butterfly that hasn't been beaten up or faded.

Cool little guy. One of the things that fascinates me most about bugs is how complex their "hand/fingers" are.

I went out this morning to see if the monarch had popped out of the chrysalis. It had, but first I stumbled upon this little girl on my front door. Very tiny, 3x + crop.

Here is the latest hatchling. I had no idea just how weak these little guys are just coming out of the chrysalis. He could barely hold onto the flower, put him out on the butterfly bush after a few photos, didn't want to let go of my fingers. Used a light blue background this time instead of black & like the way he stands out better.
