Wish I had my macro lens when camping this weekend - I think this is a Convolvulus hawk moth

Grabbed this hornworm on sunflower just before I had to get on with my honey do list.
The background was the inside of the dark shop and it just begged me to pause.

Excellent!! I just love these guys and my wife LOVES them! ߘ

We used to have lots of them on our property out in the Sandhills. We lost that all to a wildfire and this new place we have, even thought it¢s only 15 miles away, doesn’t have any.

A Paper Wasp on its nest.

I used the Canon 180mm F3.5L + EF Extender x1.4 Mk III to get the reach, as the nest is not easily accessible with the 100mm macro lens, I cannot get close to it.
